Import data into Dynamics 365 Sales

Bring customer and sales information quickly into your app by importing it. Dynamics 365 Sales processes import in the background. After an import completes, you tin can review which records succeeded, failed to import, or were partially imported. To set the records that failed to import, export them into a separate file, fix them, and and then try to import them again. You can delete all records associated with an import.

Supported file types and sources

You tin import data from the following file types and sources:

  • Comma-separated value (CSV) files.

  • Microsoft Excel templates bachelor in Dynamics 365 Sales.

  • XML (Supported only for Sales Premium and Sales Enterprise)

  • Commutation

Import information

Depending on the Dynamics 365 Sales license you have, select i of the following tabs for specific information:

  • Sales Premium and Sales Enterprise
  • Sales Professional person
  1. From the Sales Hub app, select the Settings icon Settings icon., and and so Advanced settings.

  2. Follow the instructions in How to import information to import information into Dynamics 365.

Can't find the options in your app?

In that location are two possibilities:

  • You lot don't take the necessary license or part to perform the steps.

  • Your organisation might be using a custom app and hence the site map and UI volition be different. Check with your administrator for the exact steps. The steps described in this documentation are specific to the out-of-the-box Sales Hub or Sales Professional app.
