Bring customer and sales information quickly into your app by importing it. Dynamics 365 Sales processes import in the background. After an import completes, you tin can review which records succeeded, failed to import, or were partially imported. To set the records that failed to import, export them into a separate file, fix them, and and then try to import them again. You can delete all records associated with an import.

Supported file types and sources

Prepare your file for import
Follow these guidelines to brand sure that your file imports successfully:
Store records for each record type in a separate file.

Import records from an Excel template
In the site map, select Sales Settings. Under Standard settings, select Import data.
On the Import Information page, in the Data Blazon drop-downwards list, select the record type you desire to import the data for. In the File Blazon drop-downward list, select Excel, and so select Start Import.
Select Browse to upload a file.
Select Side by side.
All the fields in your source file are automatically mapped. Select Finish Import.
Import records from a CSV file
In the site map, select Sales Settings, and under Standard settings, select Import data.
On the Import Data folio, in the Information Blazon driblet-downward list, select the record type you desire to import the data for. In the File Type drop-down listing, select CSV, and so select Start Import.

Select a file to upload. Only a comma-separated value file and an Excel template file is supported.
Select Side by side.

In the Optional Fields section, the left side shows the cavalcade headings in your source file. If the cavalcade headings match the field display names, the fields will be automatically selected in the corresponding drop-down lists.
If the cavalcade headings don't friction match, the unmapped fields will be shown with a ruby-red assertion marking.
Select a Dynamics 365 Sales Professional person field to map to the unmapped column heading of your file. You can also select Ignore from the drop-downwards list. If you select Ignore for a column, the information in that column won't exist imported into Dynamics 365 Sales Professional.
While importing your information, if whatsoever column in your source file includes a stock-still ready of values, yous must map the column to a field of Option Set blazon. Note
You can also map a column in your source file to a field of type Two Options and Multiselect Pick Set (where a field can have multiple values). Delete imported records. This deletes all records that were imported from the selected file.
Delete All. This deletes the import file along with the records that were imported from the import file.
Can't find the options in your app?
